The Quick. The Dirty. The Dean Winchester.

So here's my Dean for the Supernatural challenge. Yes, from the TV-Series. Fangirling the day away. I believe this falls under the quick and dirty category due to the sheer shittyness of it :D Really not happy with this one but hey, you can't win them all.

I am the LAW

This is so not what I planned to do for the challenge. AT ALL. But just as I had taken my pencil and paper out Ruska mentioned watching Dredd in Facebook. Which somehow lead to this. I do not know how. It just did. Apparently Dredd is all powerful enough to just manifest himself out of a pen. Which kinda makes this all Supernatural, right? See what I did there, see? Anyways this is so full of flaws that it is killing me as I hardly ever really sketch by hand. Thought I'd post it never the less. Because after this I kinda feel that I either need to draw more or just go screw you pencil and go fully digital. Dunno. Maybe I'll ask Dredd, he is the law after all.

The Quick and Dirty challenge

As it will probably take us all the rest of the year to add stuff and more stuff to these Kalevala thingies I'd like to suggest an inbethweener. Yes it totally is a word. At least now it is. Due to seeing Ruska's recent doodles I suggest that the subject is SUPERNATURAL. For those of you who do not compulsively watch the series as some of us do *cough*) it can be anything from the realm of supernatural. Ghosts, angels, monsters, muscle cars. And the idea is to really keep this quick & dirty. Nothing fancy schmancy or super finished.

Also Curtvile dear get off yer ass and take part. Thank you.

Aino, or not.

For you just tuning in, we started a conversation in a Fb group about a form of art that throws everything in it, including the kitchen sink. Examples can be seen here. After a bit we decided to give it a shot ourselves. Kalevala was picked as the subject of this little foray. So everyone's up to speed? Good.

The character I picked was Aino. The pretty girl who Väinämöinen had the hots for and who was given to him for marriage however she resisted. To make a long and tragic story short she died and turned into a salmon. As one does. And as I just watched the Prophecy I felt the need to make wings. So my Aino was supposed to sit on a rock half way through the transformation from a fish to an angel. Which she does except he turned into a he and theres tentacles. Which can sort of be explained though with the character called Iku-Turso in Kalevala. See it is Kalevala! Loosely interpreted but hey ;)

For this version I fixed the pose of Aino a bit.

Still have to add all the stuff to this as the point was to add stuff. So a LOT of scales and whatnot is still needed.

Namor - The King of the Tea

So after a friend posted this video which to me clearly said Namor - King of the Tea (instead of the more commonly known King of the Sea) I knew I had to draw it. It was meant to be a fast sketch but I kinda started fiddling with it. Now I might have to color it at some point too. Bugger.

Update: Changed the color scheme a bit and realized that I really hate painting crowns.

Guess I should post something here too, even though this has NOTHING to do with any mission. We need to come up with a "Fangirling the day away-paint your fave characters/singers/actors in however you feel like"-mission ;D

This is still a work in progress but it's supposed to be Miss Sansa Stark from the Game of Thrones. Started out as a simple grayscale study and ended somewhere else entirely.

There are steps to this in my blog and I'll post some more stuff here too when it's finished.

Daenerys Targaryen

This has nothing to with anything but here's a little painting I did of Daenerys Targaryen today. She is one of my favorite characters from the Game of Thrones saga. I might actually be able to fit this in the tv mission? Or not but never the less I hope you guys like it.
